In the early hours of Monday, a group of angry young individuals stormed a police post situated on Olayiwola Close in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State.
They set the post on fire and caused an injury to a policeman who was on duty. The motive behind the attack remains unclear at the moment.
The injured policeman was quickly taken to an emergency center for immediate treatment.
Authorities contacted the Lagos State Fire Service, who arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames. Although part of the police post was damaged, no weapons were reported stolen.

The State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has been initiated, but no suspects have been apprehended yet.
In a separate incident on Sunday, two suspected members of the Yoruba Nation were arrested while attempting to take control of the Alausa Police Station in Ikeja.
Approximately 15 agitators entered the station, recorded videos, and chanted slogans expressing their dissatisfaction with the Nigeria police and asserting the Yoruba Nation’s dominance.
