Tunde Bakare discouraged after meeting Buhari declines inauguration invitation

The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, recently revealed that his visit to President Muhammadu Buhari left him deeply discouraged, prompting him to seek solace and encouragement from God.

As a result of his discouragement, Bakare declined an invitation from Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to inaugurate a road in the state.

During a webinar titled ‘Building the New Nigeria: The Role of the Diaspora,’ Bakare clarified that he did not attend the road inauguration event.

He disclosed that the road, Isa Kaita Road, had his name boldly written on it, falsely indicating that he had commissioned it on May 26, 2023.

Bakare shared a WhatsApp message he had sent to El-Rufai, expressing his reasons for not attending the ceremony.

He explained that his discouragement stemmed from his recent meeting with President Buhari and the cumulative effect of the past 13 years on him.

Bakare expressed his gratitude for surviving those challenges and his faith in God, vowing that Nigeria would still prosper in his lifetime.

El-Rufai responded sympathetically, acknowledging the difficult situation faced by both Bakare and the President.

Although El-Rufai had invited several dignitaries to inaugurate various infrastructure projects, Bakare chose not to attend, remaining steadfast in his belief in God’s plan.
