Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has officially been sworn in for his second term as governor, signaling the commencement of another four-year tenure.
The Oath of Office was administered by Justice Kazeem Alogba, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, at 11:38 am.
Alongside the governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the deputy governor, also took the Oath of Office for his second term.

Sanwo-Olu emerged victorious in the 2023 governorship election, securing 762,134 votes, while his closest opponent, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, received 312,329 votes.
Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party secured the third position with 62,449 votes.
The swearing-in ceremony marks the official continuation of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership and his commitment to serving the people of Lagos State.
