President Akufo-Addo has expressed that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) relief program will not immediately alleviate the economic challenges faced by Ghana.
He believes that the program will restore confidence and open up opportunities that have been inaccessible in recent years.
During his address to the nation, Akufo-Addo acknowledged that the arrival of the IMF bailout is a positive step towards putting the country back on track, despite the ongoing difficulties.

He emphasized that the IMF deal will help rebuild confidence in the Ghanaian economy, which has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine.
The deal is expected to facilitate the reopening of closed avenues and the resumption of stalled infrastructure projects.
Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to support and expedite the successful implementation of necessary reforms to ensure the effectiveness of the deal.
