As the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration draws to a close on May 29, 2023, Nollywood actor Ime Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon, has expressed his hope that the incoming government will not mismanage the country to the extent that citizens would long for the previous administration.
Umoh believes that Nigerians tend to miss their past leaders because the economy deteriorates with each successive government.
According to the comedic actor, the outgoing president had solely contested the election to fulfill his own selfish, lifelong ambition of ruling Nigeria again, rather than for the purpose of serving the nation.

Umoh earnestly prays that Nigerians will not find themselves yearning for the outgoing president.
In an Instagram story post, he stated that Buhari’s motivation was never about the welfare of the people; it was solely driven by his desire to attain the highest leadership position in Nigeria, be it through military or civilian rule.
Drawing an analogy to sexual satisfaction, Umoh suggests that Buhari has achieved his goal and is now finished with it.
