Akeredolu urges Tinubu to prioritize important matters over frivolities

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on important matters rather than getting involved in trivial issues as he assumes his new role.

He urged the new leaders to reject any tendencies that hindered previous administrations and instead prioritize bringing on board individuals with proven expertise and capacity.

Akeredolu stressed the urgent need to establish a new constitutional order that upholds the principles of federalism, stating that the success in addressing the flaws of the amended 1999 Constitution would greatly influence the direction and effectiveness of governance.

He emphasized the importance of addressing existential issues realistically and encouraged the new government to actively involve constituent units in revenue generation and the security of citizens.

Akeredolu expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to deliver and noted that the government and people of Ondo State would engage robustly with the federal government.
