Governor Chukwuma Soludo expressed deep gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for the completion of the Second Niger Bridge, stating that the South-East region will be eternally grateful.
In an interview with Channels Television, the governor acknowledged the significance of the bridge and emphasized the need for additional infrastructure projects in the region.
Soludo highlighted the importance of a dredging project to provide the South-East with access to the Atlantic Ocean, a highway connecting Anambra to Lokoja, a gas pipeline network, and a rail line infrastructure project.

While these projects are yet to be accomplished, Soludo praised the Buhari administration for fulfilling its promise to complete the Second Niger Bridge, which he considered a significant step forward.
He expressed the South-East’s long-standing calls for these infrastructure developments and noted that the completion of the bridge would alleviate traffic congestion and create a twin city between Asaba and Onitsha.
