Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has issued a stern warning to trailer and container owners, cautioning them against parking on roads within Lagos state.
During the inauguration of Jimoh Odutola Road in Surulere and Reeve Road/Onilegbale Road in Ikoyi, the governor emphasized that offenders may face legal consequences.
He further stated that the government is prepared to enforce a law prohibiting road parking. Additionally, the governor called upon residents to take responsibility for the maintenance and protection of provided infrastructure.

Sanwo-Olu expressed the government’s stance, stating that trailers parking on roads will not be tolerated, and urged mechanics and truck/container owners to secure appropriate spaces for their operations instead of using public roads as workshops.
The governor emphasized the importance of safeguarding existing infrastructure to allocate funds to other essential areas rather than readdressing previous maintenance issues.
