Ortom declares he’s ready for EFCC probe and has nothing to fear

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has expressed his willingness to undergo investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stating that he has nothing to fear from the agency.

He asserted that he has no investments in Europe and is open to scrutiny by the anti-graft commission.

Governor Ortom made these remarks during the valedictory session for members of the State Executive Council and other top government appointees.

He advised his appointees to be prepared to face the EFCC if summoned for questioning, assuring them that he has no hidden wrongdoing.

The governor emphasized his readiness to cooperate with the EFCC, stating that he would follow them if they come for him.

He expressed confidence that there are no skeletons in his closet and challenged anyone accusing him of a crime to come forward with evidence.

Governor Ortom also announced that his cabinet members should continue in their positions until the day of handover, expressing gratitude for their contributions to the successes of his administration.
