Naira continues downward slide against Dollar ahead of new administration

As the incoming administration approaches, the Nigerian currency continues its decline against the US dollar.

On Friday, at the Investors and Exporters window, the naira was traded at N464.51 to the dollar, representing a 0.18% increase compared to the N463.67 rate on Thursday.

The open indicative rate at the close of trading on Friday stood at N463.75 to the dollar. During Friday’s trading, the exchange rate reached a peak of N632 to the dollar before settling at N464.51.

However, the naira also saw a low point of 410 to the dollar within the day’s trading. In total, a volume of $144.72 million was traded at the official Investors and Exporters window on Friday.
