During the presidential inauguration lecture in Abuja, former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta called on President-elect Bola Tinubu to become a unifying force in Nigeria.
Kenyatta emphasized the need for Tinubu to unite all Nigerians, regardless of religion, tribe, or political affiliations, now that the elections are over.
As the keynote speaker, Kenyatta advised Tinubu to transcend the adversarial mindset of politics and assume the role of Nigeria’s vision bearer.

He encouraged Tinubu to reach out to the opposition and see himself as a symbol of unity.
Kenyatta highlighted negative ethnicity, religious discrimination, and corruption as obstacles to nationhood, expressing confidence that Tinubu can overcome them by drawing inspiration from lessons across the continent.
Kenyatta concluded by expressing his anticipation for a Nigeria that emerges from this transition prepared to assert its place on the global stage.
