Senegal’s government websites have been restored after a cyberattack on Friday disrupted the network.
A group claiming affiliation with Anonymous took responsibility for the attack, expressing support for the Senegalese people’s freedom to choose their president.
The incident occurred amidst growing tensions surrounding President Macky Sall’s potential bid for a third term.

In response, opposition figure Ousmane Sonko embarked on a journey back to Dakar, referred to as a “caravan of freedom.”
