SA Big brother titans ex housemate reflects on Nigerian food culture

Thabang Mazibuko, a former participant on South African reality show Big Brother Titans, expressed his surprise upon discovering the “weird” foods consumed by Nigerians.

The 21-year-old shared his observations about the cultural similarities and differences between South Africans and Nigerians, gained during his 65-day stay in the Big Brother Titans’ house with Nigerian contestants.

In a recent interview with Hip TV, Thabang acknowledged the richness of Nigerian culture and history.

He initially believed that South Africa was culturally diverse and historically significant, but he was taken aback by the vast array of cultures and traditions in Nigeria.

Thabang mentioned his discovery of various Nigerian foods and their unique eating habits.

He found it peculiar that Nigerians eat popcorn with sugar and peanuts, a combination he had not encountered before.
