Peter Obi optimistic about obtaining justice in court despite Tinubu’s inauguration

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate in the presidential election, expressed his belief that he could still receive justice in court even after Bola Tinubu assumes office on May 29.

The pre-trials at the Presidential Election Tribunal concluded on Tuesday, with the official trial scheduled to commence on May 30.

Obi’s confidence in the tribunal stems from previous cases where individuals were recalled after being sworn into office.

He mentioned instances such as the removal of Ngige as Anambra State governor and the replacement of Emeka Ihedioha with Hope Uzodimma in Imo.

Obi emphasized the importance of the court system and the separation of powers in ensuring justice. He also dismissed statements by the Apapa Lamidi-led faction suggesting that his chances were threatened due to failure to pay the required fee to obtain necessary documents from INEC.

According to Obi, the faction is suspended and lacks accurate information about the party’s proceedings.
