General overseer and associate pastor kidnapped in Adamawa state

Unknown assailants seized Reverend Mike Ochigbo, the General Overseer of Freedom Power Chapel, and one of his associate pastors, John Moses, on Tuesday night in Yola North LGA.

The gunmen stormed Rev. Ochigbo’s residence in Nyibango, kidnapping both individuals and vanishing without making contact with their families.

The Adamawa state police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the abductions and assured that law enforcement had mobilized to secure their release.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, dispatched a team comprising the Special Rapid Response Team, Crack Squad, and other Tactical Squads.

Their mission is to conduct a strategic operation, utilizing intelligence and round-the-clock efforts, targeting criminal hideouts and black spots.

The aim is to not only rescue the kidnapped victims but also apprehend the culprits and their backers, who have been causing disruptions to the peace in the state.
