NPFL secures major live streaming partnership to boost revenue and exposure

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has received a significant boost through a new live streaming partnership that is expected to generate over $5 million annually for the league.

The partnership involves the NPFL’s Interim Management Committee, finance partners GTI and Propel Sports Africa, and will allow NPFL games to be streamed live worldwide starting from the next season.

The announcement was made during the unveiling of the partnership in Lagos, with Propel Sports’ Basil Kabbani expressing excitement about the project.

The live streaming will be facilitated by a dedicated over-the-top (OTT) platform called NPFL Live, which will be powered by advanced AI technology provided by Pixellot, a leading provider of AI-automated sports video and data solutions.

This deployment of AI technology makes the NPFL the first league in Africa to adopt such an innovative approach.

The NPFL Live platform will not only provide comprehensive coverage of league matches but also offer exclusive content and a seamless user experience for football enthusiasts in Nigeria and around the world.

IMC Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, stating that it would bring a new dimension to Nigerian football.
