Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, suffers from severe ear infection, requires urgent surgery, says disciple

In a series of tweets, Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), has revealed that Kanu is currently experiencing excruciating pain due to an infection in his ears.

Ekpa stated that Kanu’s deteriorating health necessitates immediate hospitalization and surgical intervention, as advised by a doctor allegedly hired by the Nigerian secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to Ekpa, the ear ailment was a result of torture inflicted upon Kanu, and it initially affected his left ear but has now spread to his right ear.

The severity of the infection has caused Kanu to experience sleeplessness and intense suffering.

Ekpa further conveyed Kanu’s concerns that whenever his case is brought up, whether in Nigeria or abroad, the Nigerian government will orchestrate multiple killings in the Southeast, attributing them to IPOB to tarnish the organization’s reputation.

Kanu instructed Ekpa to disclose that Justice Haruna Tsammani, who controversially granted an order preventing the government from obeying the Court of Appeal judgment to release Kanu, is the same person chairing the panel of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Nigeria.

Kanu claims that his applications to be transferred to the Kuje Correctional Center and for bail have been deliberately ignored by the Supreme Court, suggesting governmental influence over the judiciary.
