Healthcare workers staged a protest in the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday, warning that they would initiate an indefinite strike from midnight unless the Federal Government fulfills their demands.

The Joint Health Workers’ Union, representing the workers, is calling for hazard allowance payment, adjustments in the Consolidated Health Salary Structure to match the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure, and an end to discrimination within the healthcare sector, among other grievances.
