A man identified as Mukhtar Aminu Ibrahim has been apprehended by the Kano State Police Command for impersonating a soldier.

The suspect, along with other individuals arrested for various crimes in the state, was paraded at the command headquarters on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Providing details to the press, Commissioner of Police Mohammed Usaini Gumel stated that the suspect was apprehended by surveillance operatives while on patrol along Ibrahim Taiwo Road, wearing an army uniform.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that the individual, hailing from Filin Mushe Quarters in Kano, is not a member of the military. The case is currently under investigation, according to the Commissioner of Police
