Iconic singer Tina Turner passes away at 83

Tina Turner, the renowned singer known for her chart-topping hits like ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’, ‘Private Dancer’, and ‘The Best’, has sadly passed away at the age of 83.

According to her spokesperson, Bernard Doherty, the legendary artist died peacefully on Wednesday at her residence in Kusnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland.

The statement released by Doherty described Tina as a music legend and role model, with her passing leaving a void in the world. It was revealed that Tina had been battling an illness prior to her demise.

A private funeral ceremony is scheduled to be held for close friends and family members. Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee, USA, Tina rose to fame as part of the Ike & Turner Revue music band in the late 1960s before embarking on a successful solo career.

Known for her powerful stage presence, Tina became one of the most beloved female rock singers of her time.

Her notable accomplishments include winning 12 Grammy Awards and delivering electrifying performances that filled stadiums worldwide for over three decades.
