Governor Ortom reflects on future plans after May 29

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has expressed his future plans, stating that he may pursue a career as a freelance journalist or return to farming after leaving office on May 29.

He also acknowledged that money was given to the people of Benue to ensure his loss in the senatorial election, but he accepted it as the will of God.

Addressing the people of Benue State, Ortom mentioned that he had forgiven the outgoing president and encouraged him to remain in Nigeria to work with the incoming administration in uplifting the nation and bringing relief to the people.

He emphasized that President Muhammadu Buhari does not need to seek refuge in Niger Republic after reducing Nigeria to a low point in various aspects.

Governor Ortom expressed his disappointment with the Buhari administration, stating that under his leadership, the people of Benue experienced significant challenges.

In response to President Buhari’s comment about seeking shelter in Niger Republic, Ortom suggested that he should remain in Nigeria and work together with the incoming administration to improve the country’s situation.
