PDP reacts to presidential election petition tribunal’s decision on live broadcast

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has responded to the decision of the presidential election petition tribunal to deny a live broadcast of the proceedings regarding their challenge against Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.

The opposition party sees this as a minor setback and remains optimistic. Eyitayo Jegede, the PDP’s counsel, assured journalists that they are already preparing their pre-hearing report.

Jegede clarified that the court’s decision on the live streaming request does not affect the merit of their petition. They are fully prepared for the upcoming hearing and anticipate justice to be served.

The PDP will attend the pre-hearing report session the following day to determine the progress and timeline of the petition.
