Labour party presidential candidate hails Dangote refinery as game changer for Nigeria’s economy

Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, expressed his support for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, emphasizing its positive impact on Nigeria’s economy.

The inauguration of the refinery, which holds the distinction of being the world’s largest single-train petroleum refiner, took place in Lagos State and was attended by high-ranking government officials from Nigeria and other African nations.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, took to Twitter to laud the world-class project, highlighting its potential to meet Nigeria’s domestic demand for petroleum products and reduce the country’s reliance on costly imports.

He emphasized that Nigeria’s transition from a consumer to a producer in the petroleum sector would position the nation as a significant player in the global market, promoting economic growth and job creation.
