According to reports, an unidentified woman in Lagos State allegedly stabbed her domestic worker, Chinasa Anemem, after discovering that the worker had disobeyed her instructions to wash a bag.

The incident took place at their residence on Simeon Oniyimofe Street in the Ojo Local Government Area. Following the attack, the woman left Anemem bleeding profusely at home.

A concerned neighbor, who witnessed the incident, mentioned that the woman had a history of subjecting the domestic worker to various forms of inhumane treatment.

The neighbor recorded a video clip of Anemem narrating the circumstances surrounding the attack, highlighting the repeated abuse she had endured. The clip went viral on social media.

The neighbor expressed his concern over the disturbing situation, stating that the woman’s husband had even threatened him for exposing his wife’s actions.

The neighbor called for attention to the incident and expressed his worry about child abuse and the mistreatment of domestic workers.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the arrest of the woman, who is pregnant, and stated that she had been transferred to the gender unit of the police command for further investigation.

The domestic worker received medical care and support from the Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency.
