Hilda Effiong-Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, made headlines as she shattered the record during a cook-a-thon, and recently, she splurged over N1.1 million on a lunch date with her friends.

The extravagant outing was captured in a video reposted by Instablog9ja, where Baci’s friend shared the details. After attending church service on Sunday, they decided to have brunch at a restaurant.

As they placed their orders, they were astonished when the bill arrived, totaling N1.1 million. However, Baci graciously covered the expense.

In the video clip, Baci was seen enjoying the company of her friends at the restaurant, and the receipt was shown as evidence of the significant bill.

Previously, Baci had embarked on a marathon cooking session with the aim of surpassing the Indian record holder, who cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes.

Baci’s goal was to achieve a non-stop cooking duration of 96 hours.

Remarkably, she not only reached that target but pushed further to set a new global record of non-stop cooking for an impressive 100 hours.

Baci’s extraordinary feat garnered attention from various notable figures, including President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and President-elect Bola Tinubu, who all congratulated her on her achievement.

The governors of Lagos and Akwa-Ibom states, Sanwo-Olu and Udom Emmanuel, respectively, along with presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi from the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, also extended their congratulations to the talented chef.
