In Kogi State, a Toyota Hiace Bus traveling from Abuja to Lokoja collided with an Abuja-bound petroleum tanker on Sunday, resulting in injuries to two passengers.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the bus lost control and crashed into the tanker, which was carrying petrol, causing a fierce fire to erupt along the Lokoja-Abuja highway.

Corps Commander Stephen Dawulung, the Kogi Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander, confirmed the incident and stated that while there were no fatalities, the injured individuals were swiftly transported to Ideal Hospital Koton Karfe for medical treatment.
Dawulung attributed the accident to the recklessness of the bus driver, who was reportedly traveling at a high speed.
The Toyota Hiace Bus overturned, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided with the loaded DAF tanker transporting PMS (petrol).
