Lagos state to establish eko creation innovators hubs to address ‘Japa’ syndrome

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has announced the intention of his administration to transform several skills acquisition centers into Eko Creation Innovators Hubs as part of efforts to address the “japa” syndrome.

During the commissioning of the Sail Innovation Lab in Ikorodu, an initiative led by Senator Tokunbo Abiru, the governor revealed plans to make Yaba a Tech Campus, promoting digital skills among the youth.

The Sail Innovation Lab, established in collaboration with Co-creation Hub, will serve as a training center, providing free programs for youths, teenagers, and teachers in the Ikorodu area.

Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his enthusiasm for Senator Abiru’s initiative, aligning it with the state government’s vision of utilizing technology for youth development.

He emphasized the importance of technology in advancing the youth and positioning Lagos as a global tech hub.
