Lagos state denies viral social media post on graduate internship program

The Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has refuted a viral social media post regarding an ongoing graduate internship program.

Babatunde Adele, the Director of Public Affairs, stated in a press release that the post circulating on social media, urging unemployed youths with NYSC certificates and LASRRA numbers to register for the internship program, did not originate from the ministry.

While acknowledging that the ministry has overseen the Graduate Internship Program in previous years, Adele clarified that the official commencement date for the 2023 edition of the program has not been announced publicly.

He emphasized the importance of verifying the sources of information before circulating it on social media to prevent unnecessary panic among interested candidates and citizens.
