Manhunt Underway for Killers of Uzodimma’s Kinsman,

The Imo Police Command has initiated a search operation to track down the individuals responsible for the murder of Tony Enoch, a retired military officer and a relative of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Enoch, who previously served as the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council for Ahmed Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima’s election in Uzodimma’s Oru East Local Government Area, was brutally killed by unidentified gunmen in the state.

ASP Henry Okoye, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the incident, stating that Enoch was fatally shot on Tuesday while returning home from a meeting with APC stakeholders in the Omuma area of the LGA.

Okoye suggested that the attackers were believed to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), an armed group associated with the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Commissioner of Police condemned the attack and issued orders for the apprehension of the assailants. The police are actively investigating the matter.

After killing Enoch, the assailants forcefully placed his body inside the trunk of his vehicle and later abandoned the car near Awo-Omama Technical College.

The lifeless body of the ex-military personnel was discovered by a villager who noticed a pool of blood dripping from the car’s trunk. The villager alerted others, attracting their attention to the distressing scene.
