Osun State House of Assembly has established seven ad hoc committees to oversee the smooth inauguration of the 8th Assembly on June 6.

The purpose of these committees, according to Mr. Simeon Amusan, the Assembly’s Clerk, is to prevent any potential vacuum or constitutional crisis.

Amusan emphasized the importance of these committees in ensuring a seamless and successful inauguration, addressing different aspects of the program.

The committees include Publicity, Protocol/Invitation, Security/Crowd Control, Entertainment/Decoration, Technical, Sanitation, and Medical. Amusan urged all committees to collaborate effectively to guarantee the success of the 8th Assembly’s inauguration.

Following the establishment of the committees, Mr. Laide Lawal, Chairman of the Publicity Committee and Director of Information for the Assembly, called upon the media to provide support in covering the event.

Lawal expressed the need for journalists to work alongside the committee to ensure comprehensive and appropriate media coverage.

The current 7th Assembly, led by Speaker Timothy Owoeye, will conclude its term on June 5, with the 8th Assembly commencing the following day.
