Rema’s hit single ‘Calm Down’ has propelled him to international superstar status, with the song continuing to dominate charts worldwide and earn accolades.

According to the latest Billboard Hot 100, ‘Calm Down’ has spent 35 weeks on the chart, matching the African record set by Wizkid with ‘Essence’ featuring Tems and Justin Bieber.

Additionally, Rema’s song has set a new African record for the highest charting African song, entering the chart at number 5 and surpassing his previous record of number 6.

Rema is now poised to set another African record for the longest-charting song, with just one more week on the chart needed to achieve this milestone.

Since the release of the ‘Calm Down’ remix featuring Selena Gomez, Rema has risen to international fame, with the single earning Diamond certification in France, Platinum in the UK and the US, and plaques in several other countries.

The song recently became the first African single to top the Billboard Pop Radio chart and holds the record for the longest time spent at number 1 on the Billboard US Afrobeats songs chart.
