Joke Silva says ‘NO’ to shooting movies in her home

Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, has made it clear that she will not allow her home to be used for movie locations.

Speaking at a recent youth development forum called ‘The Roundtable Lekki,’ Silva noted that while using apartments as movie sets is a trendy thing in the industry, she would never follow the trend.

Silva is well aware of the number of people required to shoot a scene and explained that even if there were only two actors in a scene, over twenty people would be present to shoot it.

This means that 20 people would put their hands on her walls and do other things, which she would not tolerate in her home.

The actress urged the movie industry to take a cue from Tyler Perry, the American filmmaker who built one of the biggest sound stages in the world, instead of relying on individual apartments for movie locations.

Silva emphasized the need for Nollywood to build more studios and sound stages, which would give filmmakers control and allow them to make movies at their desired pace.
