Crystal Palace Football Club has vowed to ban a supporter for making a racist gesture towards Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min. The gesture was seen on video after Son was substituted in the 89th minute of Spurs’ 1-0 win over Palace on May 7.
The incident occurred as the South Korea captain left the pitch and had to walk past a section of Palace supporters. The club stated that it had shared the evidence with the police and that the fan would face a club ban once identified.

Tottenham, which is working with the police and Palace to identify the individual, has called for the harshest possible punishment.
A season-ticket holder at Chelsea Football Club was banned indefinitely in August after footage emerged on social media of a fan making a racist gesture towards Son during a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham responded by saying that it would do everything in its power to ensure that the perpetrator, if found guilty, receives the strongest possible punishment.
