The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, of going beyond bounds with his claim of recovering a stolen mandate from the 2023 elections.

The APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, questioned how someone who finished a distant third during the election could lay claim to victory and assert that he was going to recover a stolen mandate.

Morka, during an interview with Arise TV, added that Obi’s self-importance has led him to assume that everyone is concerned with him, whereas the truth is that people have moved on, and it is time for the LP candidate to do the same.

Morka also stated that Obi should not make the mistake of being too pious because running for the presidency of any country is not an easy task, and he should let his lawyers handle his case at the tribunal rather than alleging that the APC is attacking or digging up information about his personal life.
