Israeli air strikes targeted a site near the Syrian city of Homs early on Saturday, injuring three civilians and destroying a petrol station and a number of fuel tanks and trucks, according to state media. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitor, claimed a Hezbollah munitions depot was destroyed in the attack.

Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes on Syria during the country’s civil war, targeting Iran-backed forces, Syrian army positions and Hezbollah fighters.
While Israel seldom comments on its Syrian strikes, it has frequently warned it will not permit its adversary Iran to extend its presence in the war-ravaged country. Earlier this month, Israeli attacks on a Hezbollah depot in the Dabaa airport area resulted in the deaths of two pro-Iran fighters and injuries to five soldiers, the Observatory said.
