Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji has warned his team against complacency, despite their recent dominance over Arsenal in a 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium. The win has placed City within two points of leaders Arsenal, and with two games in hand, the possibility of securing their fifth title in six seasons looks likely.
However, Akanji has emphasized that there are still seven games to go and 21 points up for grabs. He stressed the importance of maintaining momentum and winning the next game against Fulham, rather than resting on their laurels.

City’s recent form has been impressive, winning 12 of their last 13 games in all competitions and seven successive league victories. In contrast, Arsenal’s form has been declining, resulting in them blowing their eight-point lead at the start of April after four games without a win.
Watch the highlights:
Akanji believes that City’s experience of success in the latter half of the campaign has been a key factor in their recent wins. He noted that the team had a great team performance and was strong in duels, good with the ball, and played well defensively.
He also highlighted the experience that the team’s locker room brings to the table, having won three championships in the last four years.
