Yetunde Gold to collaborate with Tinubu to create sustainable impact

Yetunde Gold, former beauty queen and filmmaker, has gained attention for her advocacy work on climate change and human rights. She has become a prominent figure in Nigerian politics and hopes to run for governor of Lagos state in the near future. Yetunde began her career as a beauty queen and model before transitioning into filmmaking as a producer and actor.

She has established herself as one of the few female directors in Nigeria who has directed highly rated TV commercials. As the creative director of Pegacorn Int’l Studios and founder of the Blue-Lily Initiative, Yetunde is recognized as one of the most influential female entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

Yetunde is vocal about social issues and has a passion for human rights, justice, and fairness. She has demonstrated her commitment to humanitarian work by providing scholarship schemes for young students up to university level, and engaging in social work in rural communities.

She believes that Nigeria is in dire need of global support to address the ongoing climate change crisis. She highlights that many cases are underreported due to the porous systems and lackadaisical response from local and state stakeholders. Rural communities are most affected by climate change, but even urban cities are now being submerged in floods.

The rising cost of food and drought in some parts of the country affects everyone. Yetunde emphasizes that education on climate change is low, and this needs to change in order to address the issue effectively.
