Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is the President-elect, arrived in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, on Monday, accompanied by his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, after his flight landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. He was greeted by a throng of supporters and party members who had been eagerly awaiting his return from France.

Among the supporters were Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima and other top members of the All Progressives Congress. Tinubu had traveled to Paris and London on March 21 to rest and plan his transition program before his inauguration on May 29, according to a statement released by Tunde Rahman for the Office of the President-elect.
