President Muhammadu Buhari has celebrated his final Sallah festivities at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. During the event, the President expressed his eagerness to return home after eight years of governing the country. Buhari, who has held various leadership roles in Nigeria including governor, minister, head of state and President, described himself as being fortunate to have served in these capacities.

He also commended the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for their hospitality during his tenure as President.
Buhari’s final Sallah event was a brief one and he made it clear that he was looking forward to retiring to his hometown of Daura. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Nigeria for the opportunity to serve as their President, and to those who had gathered at the Presidential Villa to celebrate with him.

Buhari’s departure from office after eight years marks the end of an era in Nigerian politics, and his successor will take over the reins of leadership in the coming weeks.
