Delta state commissioner for oil and gas, narrowly escapes kidnapping

Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, the Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Delta State, narrowly escaped abduction from kidnappers. The incident took place on Sunday evening at around 7pm while he was en route to Warri, Delta State, as he revealed in a Facebook post on Monday.

In his post, the Commissioner recounted that his car was blocked by abductors along the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) Expressway in an attempt to kidnap him. He described how a beige-colored Toyota Camry rammed into his vehicle, forcing him to come to a halt. Two hefty young men then emerged from the car, with one rushing towards him.

However, the Commissioner remained calm and quickly put his car in reverse, facing the thug who came towards him at full speed. The thug jumped off the road, allowing the Commissioner to drive off and escape successfully.

Expressing his gratitude to God for protection, the Commissioner urged motorists to remain vigilant, particularly along the Warri axis.As of the time of filing this report, the police spokesperson for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments on the incident.
