In a recent interview with GB News, renowned royal biographer Tom Bower revealed that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, may have prevented her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, from attending King Charles’ upcoming coronation. Bower, who authored the best-selling book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors,” expressed gratitude towards Kate for her alleged actions.
Bower stated that he believed Markle may have wanted to attend the historic event, but Kate put her foot down and declared that Markle would not be welcome under any circumstances. Bower further suggested that Kate insisted Markle would have to sit at the back if she did attend the coronation.

He also emphasized the constitutional importance of Prince Harry’s presence at the coronation, as he is in line for the throne after King Charles. Bower expressed relief that Harry would be attending the event, despite Markle’s absence as she would be staying in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
Bower’s claims about Kate’s role in preventing Markle’s attendance at the coronation come after details of the strained relationship between the two women were revealed in Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” According to Harry, Kate initiated a passive-aggressive argument with Markle via text just days before their 2018 wedding, which left Markle in tears.

Markle has also made subtle remarks about her relationship with Kate in the past. In the Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” Markle implied that her first meeting with Kate and Prince William was uncomfortable, as she was dressed casually in ripped jeans and barefoot, which she claimed was perceived negatively by the British royals.
