The increasing number of Nigerian youths seeking to relocate abroad is a cause for concern – Pastor Olatunji

In his address at Trinity University’s fifth matriculation ceremony and lecture titled “Raising a New Generation of Leaders in a Digital Age: The Role of Nigerian Ivory Towers,” Pastor Samuel Olatunji, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, emphasized the need for a change in attitude and orientation at the leadership level in Nigeria.

He expressed concern over the increasing number of Nigerians seeking to relocate abroad and attributed it to mismanagement of certain aspects of the country’s national life. He stressed that Nigeria is a land of immense opportunities, but proper leadership commitment and the right mindset are necessary to harness these opportunities and build a better nation.

Professor Charles Ayo, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, also highlighted the importance of Information Technology (IT) in shaping the future, stating that the institution has partnered with IT companies to prepare students for the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions.

By emphasizing the significance of IT in the modern era, he underscored the need for Nigerian educational institutions to stay aligned with technological advancements.
