Four suspects believed to be involved in terrorism and kidnapping have been arraigned by the Department of State Services (DSS) before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The suspects, Aliu Abubabar, Abubakar Usman, Abubabar Amadu, and Adamu Aliu, were arrested on December 9, 2022.

On Wednesday, they were arraigned on charges related to terrorism and kidnapping in a case numbered MISC/15/2023 between the State and Aliu Abubabar and three others. The defendants are suspected to have committed an act of terrorism within the jurisdiction of this honourable court on 9 December, 2022,” Zamba said.

The Chief Magistrate, M O Osinbajo, granted the DSS’s request and ordered that the suspects be detained for 30 days pending further investigation. The case was adjourned till April 17 for the DSS to present its findings to the court.
