Nigerian presidential candidate, Atiku, returns from United Kingdom

The Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, recently returned to Nigeria after a trip to the United Kingdom. During his visit, he attended an economic stakeholders’ meeting and met with various high-ranking government officials, including the UK Minister for Development and Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Andrew Mitchell. He also held a private meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Revd Justin Welby.

Atiku was accompanied by several prominent figures, including Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Senator Dino Melaye, former National PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus, former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and his own aides.

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, shared a video of Atiku’s arrival on his verified Twitter account and mentioned that he had returned after a successful trip to the UK. Atiku had previously stated that the purpose of his visit was to discuss potential areas of future collaboration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
