Ike Okolo, the President General of the Obosi Community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, was brutally murdered by unknown gunmen at a filling station in the community. The attack occurred around 8 p.m. and a graphic photo of the incident showed that Hon. Okolo was shot while sitting in the driver’s seat of his SUV. The identity of the perpetrators is currently unknown, but there are speculations that it could be the work of cult groups that are prevalent in the community.

Hon. Okolo was reportedly a vocal opponent of the unknown gunmen and cult-related violence in his community, and it is possible that his efforts to combat these issues may have made him a target.
